The Brand Bible

Your brand needs consistency in every way possible. A brand bible ensures that.

A brand with a brand bible will less likely suffer from brand consistency.

Brand consistency is about being recognizable, building trust and communicating effectively.

Without it, you’re referred to as “one of those businesses.” Figuring out how to be consistent is a tough game. A calendar won’t do good in this case.

Brand consistency is basically being able to be seen and known at anytime, and anyplace.

Let’s see an example, a newbie starting out on Instagram, probably has no idea what a brand identity is or has little knowledge of building a brand.

From there, the newbie keeps on rebranding without even knowing it and every time he/she posts, if you had seen a post from them before, you wouldn’t recognize it was them.

And then the newbie starts learning about building a brand, and understands that a brand identity is an essential. He/she then goes on to put all of this in place.

And this is where you have industry experts that have found their path in the creator economy.

A brand bible, if you’re the designer of the brand, is probably in mind. But if your working for a client, a brand bible helps them keep the brand on the right track.

Always ensuring brand assets are used correctly. A brand bible also called a brand style guide is broken down in the image below:

Brand Guideline or Brand Style Guide

The goal of this is to create consistency which in turn builds trust with your audience and establishes you as an authority in your field.

This is an essential part of brand design, so make sure the designer you hire builds this.

See you next week.
